For Cambodian, culture of sharing is the most important in the society. They regard Cambodia as a poor country in region, so they always spend their time in Cambodia. What they want to visit is ancient monuments and old history of Angkor, but what they really want to share is happiness with poor people in Cambodia. They do not want to see other people who live at other edges of the world are poor, starving, suffering and hard; whereas they live happily in their country.
Furthermore, I would like to express my appreciation to everyone in Cambodia, who try hard to study and expand more knowledge even they are poor. Commonly known as the Internet, the world’s largest network is used extensively throughout the world today. Since its creation in 1983, the internet has continued to grow its popularity and affects people in the way to conduct business, obtain information, work, and learn. First, given the internet original purpose is to share information; it is no wonder that the most important asset of the internet is the wealth of information that can be found on the internet. Information previously found only in the libraries but now is available on the internet such as news, weather, movie and all things are listing on the internet. Second, internet is also provided the educational community has taken advantage of the opportunities. Over the last few years, there has been a tremendous growth in both the number of distance education courses offered by college and universities. Internets allow the students to watch, listen, and exchange ideas with educator and other students who are mile away. Online education also provides people from rural districts the opportunity to have an education without having to travel long distance. After that, Internet absolutely provides work with the increasing popularity of people shopping and purchasing goods online, the internet has created the new ways of doing business. Many companies have started advertising their products and services online. Another invention of the internet is the chat room which helps people make friends with others throughout the world and share information with one another in real time. Because of email and chat capability, employees can work together without requiring that everyone have to work in the same place or even the same time. Finally, Internet is the great invention in the work that helps people with their work, business, study and others. Internet has also given criminals a new media to exploit. While there are many types of internet criminal activity, child pornography and so on. In short, Internet has pervaded the life of everyone to make easy and it can adopt our lives to be better and modern whether the internet’s effect on someone is good or bad, the fact remain that the internet has an effect on all people.
Cambodian
Cambodian is a group of people who are living in a country in Southeast Asia region which that country is called Cambodia or Khmer. Most people are the farmers who are living in the rural area and working in the fields. They cultivate rice to support all people in the country because rice is the basic product in Cambodia. The people who live in the countryside work hard for a living. They work as the farmers, fishermen and firewood collectors and sometimes they work as the construction workers. Some younger people are forced to go into the city to find job because they expect they will get the better living with their jobs in the city. They work as the sellers, shop workers, waiters, hotel staffs and so on to get extra money besides working as the farmers and about 30 percent of the Cambodian populations are citizens who live and work in the city or town. These people are the group of rich people who have many modern materials to support their lives. They live happily in the city because they have better jobs and their jobs let them have comfortable lives because of getting much money on their work.
Cambodia
Cambodia is one country which is located in Southeast Asia and Cambodia comprises 181035 square kilometers, bounded on the east by Vietnam, on the north by Lao, on the west by Thailand, and on the south by the Gulf of Thailand. On the map, Cambodia looks like a walnut caught in the open jaws of its three large neighbors. In Cambodia, there are over 14 million populations and among them there are many groups of ethnic minorities who live in the northeast of Cambodia. Cambodia, like so many other nations in the developing world, is the agricultural country and Cambodia has many prosperous heritages in the wide country which we can see wherever we go. In the middle of the country, there is a huge lake which is called Tonle Sap Lake. There are a lot of ancient monuments everywhere on the north, on the west, on the south, and on the east. Anyway, there are many natural resources which cover in the whole country such as mountain, mine, coal, fuel fusil, and fish and so on in the Cambodian land. We can say that Cambodia is the gold land in the region.
Election Systems
There are many countries which choose the different election systems in the world, in which there are two main types of election system. First, a Single-member district is the kind of representative when one Member of Parliament is elected to represent the whole district or province by winning a plurality of voting. This is the best way to make other people; especailly, interest group and other members party to combine to be a big party. This is the kind of political election system. When the leader out of touch with mainstream views control the party, it will lose the power and position and it will be replaced. This tends to the center of the political spectrum which is focused on majority voters who give all power to one party to lead the government. On the other hand, Proportional representation is another type of political systems which is based on the multimember of the party members who are elected and sent to parliament. If one province, there are ten seats, all parties list their candidates according to the numbers of seats in the province. Each voter tick on the list of the party symbolization which is liked and the party gets the seats according to the voters it receive. Moreover, the advantages of Proportional Representation are another kind of elections which the country’s legislature is reflected by the public opinion and party strength. All parties have their own policy party and try to please people by their own attitude to vote for the party. Even the small part of the population, they can run as a party and win the seats. They are not forced to amalgamate into the bigger party and dilute their views. According to the advantages of proportional representative system, it is the best choice which Cambodia chooses this style of system because it reflects the party ability, policy and public opinion. If the public thinks that the party is good, they vote for, but if not they do not vote for. All parties can join, stand as the candidates for the public voting for. Even the small party can win and become the parliament member owing to their ability and party policies. All parties that have the seats in the parliament form the coalition government
The Political Regimes
In the world, there are many sophitecated things which we can not understand sometimes, so here we should know about the different between two political regimes “Presidential and Parliamentary Systems”. Firstly, presidential political system is differed by legislative and executive that public vote for. That means, legislative is voted for by citizens; otherwise, executive is voted for by citizens directly. They vote twice for parliamentary members and president. The president combines all offices of head of state with chief of government. President is not responsible to legislative because he is voted for by the public directly and chooses cabinets from other branches of legislative body. Secondly, parliamentary system is actually differed from the presidential system because citizens vote for the parties and the parties elect the candidates of the party’s members to be the parliamentary members. The winning party will be chose one person to be the prime minister, so the public vote for the parliament and the parliament choose the prime minister from winning party. That means, the citizens vote for only legislative body to form the government. Multiparty joins the election; then they receive the seats in the parliament, they form the coalition government together. Anyway, the head of the largest party become the prime minister and forms the government. The prime minister names a team of ministers for the cabinet who are the member of the government. The separation of power between legislative and executive in presidential system are: Executive, president is voted for by citizens directly and forms the government that is called executive body. He is the head of state, chief of government, party leader, commander in chief, top diplomat, chief of executive, and even leading the legislator. The president always summits to the parliament to adopt what he wants to do and the parliament have to adopt what the president need. If the parliament turns away what the president need, he can veto the parliament. Legislative, the parliament is voted by the citizens the same to executive body, but it has the different jobs. It just shows the citizens opinions and guides the executive body, but it has to adopt what the executive need because it will be vetoed. Executive and legislative often stymie each other.
How Cambodia Become Asian Member
Cambodia is one country which is located in Southeast Asia region and Cambodia want to be an Asian member as other countries in region, so there are three steps that allow Cambodia to be a full Asian member. Firstly, Cambodia is just only the participated member which always jointed in all Asian meeting and there is no right to express the idea. Cambodia became this position for nearly ten years and then the president of Asian member decided that Cambodia should be changed to other position. Meanwhile, Cambodia became the observer of Asian in all Asian meetings. However, Cambodia had to participate and complete all Asian needed obligations to gain privilege to become a full Asian member. A few years later, Cambodia tried to fulfill those obligations and ended the cold war and civil war in the country that made all Asian members thought of Cambodia. Finally, in 1999 Cambodia became the full Asian member and has enough right to express the thought in the Asian meeting. It is a good facial expression in the region that Cambodia can be a member of Asian members that all countries are located in the region they did. Cambodia just follows the three steps of participation in Asian meetings, so Cambodia can be a full Asian member among other ten Asian members.
Political Party
All countries in the world have various political parties, theories, and ideologies, so here we should know what the differences between communist political party and democratic political party. First, communist political party is a kind of political parties which is born in the communist country and communist political party does not rule the country directly which supervises, monitors, control the personnel of the state and economic structures. In the communist country all officials have two positions as the government members and communist party’s members. Otherwise, communist country has only one party which attempts to control everything important in the governmental structures. Whereas, democratic political party is another kind of political parties which is focused on centralization participating policy of the party and the way to finance the party; the ruling party lead the government and on the party leadership in which party’s members can be selected to be the various offices and make the list of the party’s members as the national centralized candidate election. The varying degrees of centralization of these systems give the party coherence, discipline, and ideological consistency. Moreover, participating in the policy party is also important. The parties’ activists always have the activity in their local to attract local people to vote for their party. When their party wins the election, they are also provided the position in the department and agencies of the government sector. All party members share together with their activities and policies to make their party win the election. On the other hand, finance the party is the party members’ obligation to find the funds. The party also tries to persuade the interest group to help them with their finance because they always receive all finance from the business people, bank, farmer federation, and all rich people.
Political Institutions
The political institutions are the working structure of government such as legislatives, executives, and judiciary braches. A political institution is partly solidified authority and people rely on the government institution to solve their problems and to set the directions for the nation. The government may stay in power for generations if they are effective in the society. Legislative is a branch of government system which has the right to make the laws that the government needs and the executive is also the government branch who practice the laws which is made in the country. Finally, the judiciary is the independent branch in the political institution which looks for who breaks the laws which are made. These three branches political institutions have their own policies and roles to protect the people and their prosperity.
Communication in Southeast Asian
Communication in all countries in Southeast Asia met the conflictions and complex issues because the conflict had happened in the cold war region and still remained an nondependent of countries in the region and powerful countries especially, the west. For Asian countries, they wished to be a family in the region and they tried to convince all countries in the region to participate in to perform the organization which is called Asian. Asian is named for ten countries which would joint to be the members of Asian. One country to another had to try to convince and end their own countries’ cold wars. All Asian countries have to joint in all Asian meetings which are always changes its location every year, in order to adjust and adopt some matters in the region. All Asian countries negotiate to each other in the meetings to gain the independent and stability in the region.
How to Fight Off a Shark
A lot of people who wish to go swimming in the sea meet the shark attacking, so there are three things which those people should do to avoid shark attack. First, when you see the shark is coming, you should use anything to hit his eyes or gills because these areas are sensitive to pain. You have to hit these areas yet again until the shark go away from you. Secondly, when you see the shark is coming near you, you should gain the advantage to make the shark confuse you are not his food or you should stay still and quiet to make shark expect that you are the log. Finally, when you see the shark is coming toward you, you should swim up to the under surface of the sea, so the shark will leave there. When the shark see you can do like this, he think you know that he comes to attack you. If you want to go swimming in the sea and meet the shark, you should follow these three activities to avoid shark attack.
How to Plant a Mango Tree
To plant a mango tree is an easy thing to do if you follow some steps of techniques. Firstly, you should find a good kind of mango tree to grow because it will fruit the good harvest even though there are lots of kinds of mango trees. After that you should also find a suitable place in your land for growing your mango tree. Next, you have to dig a bit big hole for growing it, but in order to do that you need to have a shovel in hand and then you have to dig the young mango tree out off its old place. You also need to have a plastic bag to cover its roots. After you dig the hole, you transplant your mango tree to the new place and put it carefully into the hole. You also need to have the cow dug and natural fertilizer and mix and put it into the hole of the mango tree after you already put the mango tree into the hole. Soon, you water it. Finally, you have a small green mango tree in the right place, but you have to water every day because the mango tree needs water to make a living. In short, planting a mango tree is easier than other trees if you follow all above steps, you will be successful in planting mango tree.
How to Obtain a Driver’s license
You need to have a driver’s license when you have your own car, so you just follow the below easy steps you will obtain it. First, you just go to the driving school and ask for fulfilling in the driving lessons form. Then you are allowed to attend the class as scheduled to get some driving lessons and traffic law lessons. A few days later, you learn to know the car’s equipments positions. When you know them already, you will start practicing the lessons with car’s equipments by driving. A few weeks later, you need to do the driving test. Finally, you go to see the test result if you pass the test you need to complete the form to obtain the driver’s license. All in all, you can obtain a driver’s license easily by just following all above steps and you will be a confident driver because you have participated in learning driving lessons, traffic laws and practise directly with the skillful teachers.
How to Write a Good Paragraph
Writing a good paragraph is a very difficult thing for academic students who wish to write, but there are some points which are important for academic writing students to follow. Firstly, you have to know what topic you are going to write about. Then you should find the relevant books to read, in which you expect to get the important ideas. Also, you should know about paragraph structure which you will rely your paragraph on. Next, you do the brainstorming of your idea and then do the outline of your idea in the brainstorming that means to make the group of your idea. Which idea should be the topic sentence, which should be in the supporting sentences and which should be in the concluding sentence? In a good paragraph, it also needs to have coherence and unity that make it clearly hold together of the sentences and all sentences in the paragraph, have to be logical order because it makes link smoothly of the idea. Finally, a good paragraph also need good transition signals and good grammar and you should use the logical order arrangement of the sentences especially, your perfect language. In conclusion, when you should follow above points, you will be able to write a good paragraph.
My Expectation from the Writing Class
My expectation from the writing class is the knowledge of writing skills. I think when I finish my writing session in which it will be able to help me to write a better paragraph. There are a lot of homework and assignment which are given by instructors who instruct in universities or English sessions, so I have to get a better writing course which help me to get a high score in class. The knowledge of writing skills is absolutely important because we often communicate with other people by writing sometimes. There are many kinds of things which we sometimes have to write such as proposal, report, homework, assignment and paragraph writings. I have to force myself to try to write as much as I can with this session because it is useful to gain knowledge in writing. Of course, I also have to have a good instructor who is good at writing skills and good at explanation of the instruction of how to write a good paragraph. When the instructor and the students share knowledge together to get the better instructions of writing, it will be the best way to exchange knowledge. Actually, I will get a good guideline of writing skill in this writing session and I will be able to writing the good paragraphs in the near future.
My Favorite Color
My favorite color is yellow which is symbol of peace and quiet. It is not a popular color, but it is still the best color for human beings who live on this earth that shows about the quiet life. When I see the color yellow, it makes me happy and peaceful. It is the color of relaxing because it is quiet and still and it is the nature of peace color. The color of yellow has everywhere, but the people do not know its meaning. When we see the leaves of the tree which are getting dead, it symbols of impermanent of the nature. The people should know the impermanent of the nature which make people no greed and great willing in life. All in all, the yellow is the symbol of peace and quiet.
Barefoot Boy
When I was with my family, I had a shocked experience which made me scared and frightened. One day, when Khmer Rouge came into my village, they burned my entire village’s houses down. All people have run into the forest to hide them who were cruel and sometimes they killed people and raped the young girls without knowing that this is illegal and unwholesome deeds. Actually, when I saw these scenes, I stood still and felt shocked. I never thought that they dared to do all those stupid things. They destroyed everything in the village even the small ant is afraid of them. For whole night, people slept at the forest and some of them were waiting to look after people who were sleeping. Before the cracked down, the Khmer Rouge went away from the village to the north of my village and went straightaway to Dong Rek mountain region which is the place where they lived. However, the people were still afraid of them; they still lived in the forest until at noon. When the people went back to the village, they were living with hopeless because all things were destroyed. I still scare with that experience which made me sad and unhappy with those people.
My Friend
My friend is the funniest person I know. He has a lot of jokes and makes me laugh non-stop when I meet him. Actually, he is the happiest man in my life. However, his attitude is very polite and good in the public; he is still the expert of joking story with happy story in different circumstances of parts of life. When I stay with him, I am not bored, but I am happy with what he speaks and acts. When I met him first, he does not that kind of person, but when we get along well, he is the funniest person. He is not a quiet person and he always talks and talks about events which he have met in his life. Sometimes those stories are not happy or funny stories, but he has a skill in making them to be the funny stories. Once he and I went to the wedding party and one thing happened that he met his girlfriend. He changed his attitude to be a quiet and still person that I never ever expected. I wanted to laugh in that time, but I was so shy because there were a lot of people around us. When my friend and I left the wedding party, I asked him about that why? He explained that he was shy, happy and afraid. I just knew that when the lovers meet to each other, they always have that kind of emotion. Actually, my friend is a funniest person in my life.
Unforgettable Birthday
My classmates gave me an unforgettable surprise birthday party for my 20th birthday. I was terribly surprise with my birthday this year, which I can not forget it. Actually, my classmates celebrated it for me in the class of University of Cambodia. I did not know at all. At first, I got off the motor taxi and walked up along the stares and turned left and go straight ahead to my classroom. I just noticed that none of my classmates stood outside the class and I thought they had not arrived yet. Of course, some of my classmates were waiting outside for my arrival, but they hidden me. They just sent some information to the people who were inside the class. When I opened the door, the words happy birthday flied suddenly touch my ears. It was the surprised event in my life. I was absolutely happy and then we were happy together. I blew out the candles and we shared cakes in our class. Since then I never forget my 20th birthday party which is still important in my memory now.
Hiking
Hiking is the best way to explore nature closely. Climbing the mountain, walking on the hill and going for walk in the field make us relevant to the nature which is living and growing around us. When we do those kinds of leisured activities, it makes us know the importance of nature that we live with. Moreover, knowing and seeing more about the nature is the best way to relax with nature because nature makes our lives lively and freshly. We live with the nature every day, but to be closer we have to do activity like hiking which is a pleasure action in our lives and it is the best way to relax with nature. When we hike, we always find the mountain and hill to hike to because it has good view and attractive colors. Every where is nature and wherever we live or go is nature so we live with nature. Our activities can let us know about the nature.

Text messaging has become popular among teenagers. It is easy to tell our friends about us that where we are and how we are, we just send them a message. It is not difficult to write a small message on phone. We just spend a few minutes on texting message. Even though we separate far away to each other, we can communicate by texting message easily and it is just a short time. Moreover, there are a lot of advantages in texting message such as spend less money, keep in touch with friends, practice English, and also have free sms. All these things which make it popular among teenagers, and they want what are new, modern and fast.
Time Management
Effective time management requires some easy steps which are important for human’s life. Firstly, we have to schedule our time into time management is very important to succeed in the future life. When we manage our time carefully, we will be a successful person. We should know when we this and when we do that because we think that time is money sometimes, so we have to divide it clearly. When we schedule our time according to what we do every, it will useful for us to manage our lives. Time is very short for all creatures that live on this earth. Moreover, Time management is very essential and it also needs some ways of follow. However, setting a clear timetable will implement and it is also the enforcement which comes with strong commitment. In conclusion, time preparation has many stages to carry out to make our lives.
College Student
Every college student should take a computer course which is important among other courses. It can help student with its’ useful things such as searching documents, communicating with friends and relatives, doing assignment, and knowing modern technology in the new world. Computer course can help student with many different ways and knowing the new knowledge is absolutely crucial for college student who are now trying to gain knowledge. It can help both in school and work place. The new modern technology is the special course which most universities let their students study and it also help students with their school work. When the students graduate with degree in their hands, they also have the knowledge in computer course. They can apply to work any companies they like. All students work in different companies in which they need knowledge in computer to improve their work field and working well with their company’s documents. In conclusion, the computer course is the useful course to help students with their work and improve their new modern technology life.
My Doctor
My doctor is very kind to his patients. There are a lot of patients who come to visit my doctor everyday. My doctor always helps them with his kindness. He always speaks kindly and friendly to those patients because he thinks that some of his patients would need that kind of treatment which makes their heart happier. Actually, my doctor looks after his patients carefully and gives some advice which is important to treat their bodies and mental state. He smiles to his patients and asks his patients about their diseases lovely and happily. He looks after not only the rich but also the poor. He just wants only to save peoples’ lives in the village. He never thinks of money and money because he always tells me that saving peoples’ lives is more important than money. When I go to visit him, I sleep in his house for a while. Moreover, all people who live in the village always say that my doctor is very kind and is a good doctor in the village. All in all, my village people always happy with my doctor’s help and my doctor always expresses his kindness with his patients.
My Adventure
I had an adventure in the jungle last year. My friends and I went to the jungle together. We had prepared food, tent, touch, flash light and other important things for our adventure. We started our journey in the morning 9th November, 2009 to the jungle which is located in the south of our village, so we had to go to the southern. Along the way, we met some farmers who were working in the field and some young people were looking after their cows and buffalos. Actually, some of young people were playing Khmer field hooking. We saw much scenery while we were walking. We walked and walked until the end of the day because the jungle is a bit far from our village about 30 kilometers to the south. When we reached the jungle, it was a bit dark dust, but we had a small flash light for each of us. Then we found a place for building a camping tends near a big tree. One of my friends started the fire and then we sat around the fire. We had plenty of things to share together such as food and drink, but we were a bit tired. When we finished our stuffs, we went to sleep. At night, it was very cold, so we could not sleep well. We liked to sit around the fire and the mid night came, we slept around the fire. We got up at the crack of dawn. Truly, there was a small pond near by, so we ran to the pond and swam in the pond all together happily. In the morning, we went for a walk in the jungle and met some people who went to find the fire wood there. I was extremely happy to be in the jungle because it was a quiet place and I just heard the birds sang the sweet song. We did not expect to meet dangerous animals in our adventure. We were happy with our nature for the whole morning. We came to the village at the afternoon. It was terribly happy that my friends and I shared our lives with nature together last year.
Advantages of Video Game
Video games are not bad for children. They can help children smarter and smarter with their clues. When the children play the video games, they use their blain to think about complicated solutions in the video games to win their partners. However, they lose the video games; they try to play again and again. This time, they force themselves to think again and again to find the clues by using their talents and intelligences. There are many mistakes in the games’ events which are so difficult to solve. When the children meet these issues, they find the best key to handle with these troubles. Playing the video games are the best solution in which we let children to use their blains to be more clever and clever. The children can train their blains with difficult knowledge that it can help them when they are in school. In short, Video games are extremely important and have a lots advantage for children who train their intelligence.
A Terrible Teacher
I met a terrible teacher when I was in primary school, the school at my home village. Of course, I was just ten year-old boy who was studying at grade five. My teacher was a very mean and cruel woman who I never ever met and she always hit me with a strong stick. It hurt me a lot in that time which it is in my memory now. She sometimes gave me lots of homework and she never explained it clearly. What she wanted, we had to do for her if not she would hit us or showed bad facial expression. All students were always afraid of her and nobody was clever in her class. When I did something wrong with the lessons or homework, she rarely spoke kind words. I was absolutely upset and failed the exam all term and I had studied with her for two years. It means that I would repeat the same grade for two years. Actually, she fought me without reasonable mistakes. Then the third year came and I met a new teacher, who was different from my previous teacher, was kind, patient and friendly with her students. I think if I have studied with that terrible teacher, I would fail exam again and again and repeated the class again and again. Fortunately, I have studied with many kind, patient, friendly teacher who makes me happy and have a strong commitment to succeed my study.
Tennis
Tennis is a boring sport to watch. Actually, tennis is a kind of sports which always shows on television and it is a very boring sport that people always complain about. It plays the same action for long time during the competition. The players run here and there to hit the ball to each other non stop which makes people get boring with. When the people watch the same activity hours and hours like tennis, they will get bored. They do not like watch the same again and again because they do like it and it make them unhappy and tired of it. I also do like watching tennis because the players show the same actions hours that make me boring. In short, watching tennis on television is a kind of boring activity in life.
My Classmate
All students have classmates. Today I want to introduce my classmate. His name is Sopheakdei. He comes from Siem Reap Province. He has stayed in Phnom Penh for nearly two years and he lives with Buddhist monks in Wat Onnaloam. He studies two universities (University of Cambodia “UC” and Paññasastra University of Cambodia “PUC”). In the future, he wants to be a well-known professor in one university. His majors are English Literature and International Relations. He is a good student among other classmates who are studying with me. English is his favorite subject, so he is always good at it. Being a good professor is only his goal and target. When he has free time, he always helps other friends with their difficulty in English and he also listen to English Program on the radio such VOA special English program and radio of Australia. It is the best way to improve his English. On the weekend, he sometimes goes to visit the Royal Palace and National Museum to get to know more about his own culture. Finally, he is very kind and he is also a happy man I know. I am absolutely happy when I meet him and talk to him. He gives good advice to live on the earth. He makes me laugh all the time without stopping. He is a very good person for me.
My Family
Everyone has a family. My family is a poor one which lives in a remote area in the west of Siem Reap Province. It is about 30 kilometers along the Number 6 road to the west. There are many people in my family such as my mother, my father, and my siblings. First, I want to introduce about my mother. She was not a very calm woman in my family because she had many jobs to do such housework and field work, but she was very kind to me. She always wanted to do what she needed in her life. However, I love her very much, she is my eyes. She always corrected my mistakes and she always gave me good idea. I think she is the great woman in the world. Secondly, I want to tell you about my father. My father is a primary school teacher in my village school. He is very kind person in the village, but he is not so kind to me. He always helps other people in the village with their work. When you have problems, you can go to get his help, but he is getting a bit old now. He is an intelligent guy in my family. He can run his family very well because most his sons now are studying at university. Thirdly, I should let you know about my siblings. It is so strange that all my siblings are boys. They are absolute obedient and they respect to each other. They never react to what parents want them to do. They are absolute perfect for me because they never make troubles in the family. I also love them because they are all intellectuals, so they have enough knowledge to be good people in society. All in all, my family is a happy family because my mother was a good woman, my father has a good job and he is very kind, and my brothers are intellectuals, so we live happily together.
Idea about Cambodia Public Holiday
Cambodia is the oldest country among other countries located in Southeast Asia and Cambodia is a country which has a lot of public holidays, even traditional and religious holidays. It is extremely important for Cambodians who not only live in Cambodia, but also live abroad. For each holiday has its own meaning and grateful to all Cambodia generations. We all have to respect our ancestors who have made these holidays. They thought that Khmer have to know what is good and what is bad, what is wholesome and what is unwholesome for their lives. Khmer have to commit the merit to support their future lives. Being a Cambodian has to explore and know the meaning of these aspects which are meaningful. Moreover, we should know about Cambodia attitudes. Holidays can help Cambodian miss their parents, grandparents and ancestors’ wholesomeness and kindness and know that who give us births. When the holidays come, young Cambodians always go to their home village. They meet their parents, sisters and brothers and live together at home. If we say about the farmers who work in the field on the sun for a whole day, they are perfectly difficult. However, it is the respectful events that let Cambodian think about their grateful people. Some people think that it is useless and a waste of time, but they do not know. It is the brilliant fact which Cambodians do not have to forget it. Cambodians always say that holiday is a day of merit or meriting day.
My Village
Many people are born in a village, so I was born in a village which is located in a remote area in the west of Siem Reap Province about 30 kilometers along Number 6 road, the way to Battam Bong Province. My village is a poor village among other villages in the region. All houses are cracked and tended except a few which are built in a modern style. I can divide my village into three parts, the poorest part, the poor part, and the middle class part. All houses are built of wood which we can call wooden houses. They use natural thatch, tiles, stone pedestal, and wooden board to build a house. Actually, people always share happiness together. They go to help each other when one meets suffering. They never expect to get repayment back and they sometimes go to ask other lives’ conditions. When one has a baby, they rush to see and say something or cuddle the baby up and speak some happy words; especially, they show happiness each other. When farmers finish their cultivation, they have spare time, but they take their free time to work as construction worker. They do all kinds of work to support their living. They work hard to harvest their rice before the happy day of Khmer New Year. In the New Year time, all people go to Wat to play traditional games and Khmer dance. They play happily together without thinking of tiredness or their work at home. After Khmer New Year, They determine to start working as the farmers because the cultivation season is coming soon. Then they work hard to cultivate their rice for the family. When the cultivation season is over, there is a special occasion which makes them happy again. That is Pchum Ben days which people in the village go to Wat to listen to the Dharma. After the hard work, people start cultivating the merit again. This is the occasion which people miss their parents, siblings, relatives and their ancestors. They live happily together in the village. In short, I love to live in my village. I expect that when I finish my study, I will go live there and I will be happy with my village. My village is a particular place for my life even I live far way, I still think to spend holiday there.
Siem Reap Province
In my country, there are many provinces and town, but the special one is Siem Reap Province which is located in the northwest of Cambodia. It stands along the nation road 6 with distance of 314 kilometers from Phnom Penh city, bordered with Oudor Meanchey Province on the north, Battambong Province and Tonle Sap Lake on the south, Banteay Meanchey Province on the west, and Kompong Thom on the east. Siem Reap Province has 12 provincial districts, which consists of 100 communes, and 875 villages. Siem Reap Province is a tourist region in Cambodia in which most tourists come to Cambodia long to visit the ancient area. Especially, the monuments which were built in many centuries ago by Khmer ancestors and it is also a history place for study because Siem Reap Province is the oldest ancient history place in Southeast Asia. Many temples are known in internationally, which make all people wish to see them such as Angkor Wat, Bayon, Taprom Temples, and so on. Some of them belong to the world heritage and some of other are in the deep forest and can not be found. When we go to visit Siem Reap, we will see a lot of visitors including local and international ones. Most Cambodian long to live in Siem Reap Province and people who live in Siem Reap Province earn money by their friendly smile. They make their living by selling goods, running restaurants and hotels, driving taxis and so on. Moreover, for Cambodians who live far away from Siem Reap Province always want to visit there. When they have school off, work off or holiday, they always rush to see Angkor Wat. They think that they should take time to visit their ancestors’ monuments before they die. It is actually important to see these Cambodian world treasures, which were built by ancient Khmer. A Cambodian should help to protect our own ancient heritages and conserve them because Siem Reap Province is the treasure place.
My Future Plan
Everyone should have a future plan. Now I will tell you about my future plan. Firstly, I have to finish my bachelor degree in four years, so I have to strive to study and read books in order to gain knowledge. In addition, I have to get up at the crack of dawn to read, review, and memorize the lessons because in the early morning is a good time for study. When I have enough knowledge, I can earn my degree easily. In four years is a short time to collect knowledge. Secondly, I will start my own professional job as a teacher because I have found enough knowledge and I can earn some money to support myself and family. When I can achieve my career, I can afford my siblings to go to school and if I left some money, I will continue my master degree. Of course, I would like to be a professor at one university, and if have more chance; I will apply for a diplomatic examination to work for the Cambodian government. In that time, I will have a happy family in my life. I hope all my plans will become true and succeed.
The Attraction of Phnom Penh
Everyone has a favorite place. My favorite place is Phnom Penh. First, the river is very attractive for a trip in Phnom Penh. Of course, when you want to visit Siem Reap Province, you can take a boat along the Mekong River and then you will see Tonle Sap Lake. Anyway, along the bank of Mekong River are the best place to relax and happy family and friends. In the evening people in Phnom Penh always rush to go to river bank because they want to play tennis, do exercise, play with pigeons, and do aerobics. Moreover, I can take a boat along the river to have a picnic trip with your friends and family. Also, night life is the happy thing to do in Phnom Penh. There are a lots discos, night clubs, and bars which make you happy with your friends, coworkers and family. The lights at night are the beautiful things to see, and you can walk along the street under those lights which is warm you at night. In addition, there are many good jobs in Phnom Penh which you can work as the construction workers, teachers, and so on. Finally, I enjoy living in Phnom Penh because there are many kinds of things for happiness, pleasure, and relaxing here. Phnom Penh is the most attractive place in Cambodia.
How to Be a Good Writer
Writing is a very difficult thing for academic students and writers, but there are some points which are important for academic writing students who wish to be a good writer. First, you have to know which topic that you are going to write about. When you know the meaning of the topic clearly and then you start to find books which relevant to the topic to read. Also, while you are reading, you will meet and get some important ideas which suit to your topic, so you have to take note all those ideas. Then you start to organize your paragraph. Which style of paragraphs you would like to organize. All these you have to know about formatting and organizing of a paragraph in which you need to have indenting, margin, good connectors, good grammar and you should know your ideas which are for topic sentence, which are for supporting sentences and which are concluding sentences. You will be a good writer, when you follow all these things.
Robe
My robe is a special kind of clothes which is made for Buddhist monk. It looks like a piece of cloth, but actually, it is a small piece of cloth which is sawn to connect from one piece of cloth to another to make a robe. Anyway, it looks like the rice field in which has several small dykes accross the whole surf. When I need the robe, I go to the market and I buy it there. I can not make it myself. There are a lot of robes in the market which produes in the factory in other countries. It is absolutely special and important to me because I am a Buddhist monk who practice what the Buddha had said and I have to wear it. My robe has a specail meaning which is a symbol of peace and tranquility. It also has a special color which makes people feel happy and respectful. I am also happy wiht my robe which let me have a good chance to know about the tast of life and I can also know a lot about culture and relegion life that make calm and still in life.
My Bedroom
In my home, there are few rooms, but I want to tell you about my bedroom which is on the third floor in my house and it is located at the corner near my brother’s room. When you stand at the front door, you can see my bed and near my bed there is a table on which there are some books and a reading lamp. Actually, there is a small bookcase on the west of my bed near the table, in which is full of books. On the south side corner of my bed room, there are some clothes that I always hang on the wall. Bewteen bookcase and door, there is clothset that I put my clothes in there. There are a stereo at th foot of my bed that I always play when I am in my room. I always clean and tidy my room every day. All in all, my room is a comfortable room in which I always stay in and read my book. I like my room very much because it is the best place to stay.
Siem Reap Province
I believe that Seem Reap Province is a very beautiful place to live, so that there are some reasons to be proved about this beautiful place. First of all, natures provide the province with the beautiful green place. Siem Reap Province has a lot of big groups of jungles and mountains around the province. Actually, you can get fresh air when you go to visit any places in the province. Second, there are many ancient monuments, new buildings, beautiful gardens and modern hotels which we regard as the masterpiece of architecture in Cambodia. On the other hand, the province has enough irrigation systems to provide the agricultural sector because Cambodia relies on the rice farming. Most people grow rice for living that makes the province to be green and beautiful and there are the best infrastructures around the province such as a lot of standard hospitals, best school, and smooth roads which provide the happiness to the people in the province. There are also a lot of ancient monuments that attract people around come to visit such as Angkor Wat, Taprom, Bayan etc. You can go to relax at Angkor region and see sunset late afternoon time. The people who live there always gather together in some places in the province. Besides, there are many friendly people living and working in the city. Some people work as the vendors, tour guide, and taxi drivers around the city. In short, Siem Reap is actually the very beautiful place if you wish to live because it has lovely natural scenery, many ancient monuments and the best infrastructures around the city.
The Roles of the Executive
In the roles of executive which is said about the position of the top leader of executive body. What he/she can do and what he/she can not do in his/her position. The top leader of executive body has many jobs such as the head of state, chief of government, party chief, commander in chief, chief diplomat, dispenser of appointments, and chief legislator. Firstly, Head of state is the symbol of the nation and meets visiting heads of government, receives ambassador, represent the country to the world, and report on the state of nation to congress. Chief of government is responsible and carries out the party policy decision; especially, responsible for the major departments of government. Party chief is the party political leader who endorses and campaigns for the party’s candidates and formulate the party’s legislative program. Another position is Commander in chief that is the commander in chief of the country’s military and armed forces. It is dangerous for some countries which the presidents and prime ministers who are the commander in chief because they can use this position the wrong way that most countries have procedures and command structure to make sure that all orders are constitutional and legal. Then chief diplomat is the person who runs diplomacy and grants diplomatic recognition to foreign countries, and persuades or negotiates on trade; especially, advertises the country to the world. After that, dispenser of appointment is the person who appoints the legal officials to work in the government. The new prime minister or president has a lot of people who are dispensed into the federal department, agencies, offices and bureaus. Finally, chief legislator is the person who is not only responsible fro executing the laws but also initiate most legislation. The prime minister or president always summits the draft law to the parliament to adopt so the parliament has to adopt the policies, programs, and laws the prime minister or president wants.
The roles of the political party
In political party systems, there are several important roles in which parties have to perform even in the democracies and authoritarian system. First of all, a bridge between government and people: Why the parties are the bridge of people and government because the parties play the special roles in society which the people get their needs and wishes by voting for the party; then the winning party forms the government. The winning party forces the government to carry out the party’s policies which they promised the people during election announcement before the election. Also, aggregation of interests: This is what the party has to do to finance the party. The interest groups always need their demands which are separate; so the party resembles this situation by helping tame and calm interest groups conflicts. The party forces the interest groups to think about moderating of their demands, cooperation, and work for the good of the party. Large party are the coalition of the interest groups which they support their needs to each other. Besides, Political Socialization: This is said about the parties with the interest groups become the society. They share the profits together. The party teaches the members how to play the political game, introduce citizens to the candidates, speak in the public such as the party helps the society member to find jobs and supports their demands to attract citizens to vote for the party. Furthermore, mobilization of voters: All parties always try to whip up and mobile the voters. The candidates of the party try to campaign for the candidates and voters; actually party try to advertise the party without the party advertising, many citizens would ignore the elections. During the party electoral propaganda, all parties try to persuade the citizens to vote for, according to their party’s policies when the party wins. In addition, organization of government: After the election, the winning party gets the government jobs and power and tries to shift party’s policies. The new prime minister or president try to organize and appoint the representative of the citizens to the separate position such the chamber’s leader, committee chairpersons, and departments and agencies, and especially, the two branches of government (executive and legislative bodies).
The Types of Political Party System
Political party systems are the interactions of the parties which depend on the political systems, whether it is stable or unstable, whether it has too many parties. The list of political party systems is: First, the one party system: is the kind of political party system which associates with totalitarian regimes of right or left that controls every level of government. The leader acts as the democracy leader because they represent what the people really want and need, but no fair election and honest public opinion. Second, the dominant party system is another kind of political party system that contest election is free but the opposition party never wins. They just have the opposition party to campaign and propaganda in the public to show the people the democracy in the country because they don’t want their voters get fed up with the domination party’s corruption, and ineptitude. Third, the two-party system is most familiar to other kinds of political party which has many parties join the election, but only two parties that dominant all parties. Two major parties have a fairly equal chance of winning. Fourth, the multiparty system is one kind of political party which has many competing parties join the election. Most parties get the seats in the parliament and form the coalition government together. It is hard to win the majority of the parliamentary members and the government is unable to keep the power for a long time. Fifth, the two-plus party system is one kind of political party system that has also two large parties which have one or more smaller parties relevant to. It means that the two big parties dominant all citizens but has the third party which is popular among them. Sixth, fluid party system is another kind of political party system that the party will be unstable democracy because parties rise and fall down quickly. The leader is lack of program and ideology and poorly organizes; many of the party’s members will fall apart or run to join with other parties. Finally, if we say about Cambodia, Cambodia is the Two-plus political party system because in Cambodia has many parties but there are two parties which dominate all. However, the third party also has in Cambodia, which is popular among the two big parties. Those parties form the coalition government together.
Marxist Theories
Another political theory that made a big different was Marxism. Marx produced an exceedingly complex theory consisting of at least three interrelated element: a theory of economics, a theory of social class, and a theory of history. Marx argued that things happen not by accident; everything has a cause. First, economics: Marx concentrated on the Surplus Value what we call profit. Workers produce things but get paid only a fraction of the value of what they produce. The capitalist owners skim off the rest, the surplus value and the workers (proletariat) are paid too little to buy all the products they have made. Then, social class: Every society divided into two classes: a small class (bourgeoisie) of those who own the means of production and a large class (proletariat) of those who work for the small class. In addition, history: Putting together his economic and social class theories, Marx explained historical changes. When the underlying economic basic of society gets out of kilter with the structure that the dominant class has established its laws, institutions, business, and so on, the system collapse. The main focus was on the old system of dominance and subordinate.
